Joomchi is a 500 year old technique of felting together paper to create a stronger textile with embedded images or patterns. Its created with just mulberry paper, water and a lot of kneading (and patience!). I wanted to combine this technique with my animations - two labour intensive techniques merged into one - quite ambitious! I've been happy with my results and would like to continue this technique and pushing it even farther.
